Our Company statement of general policy:
Hub Property Care recognises that businesses can have a negative impact on the environment. We are constantly striving to find ways in which we can reduce the impact of our work both in the office and with our technicians.
As part of our general statement we have committed to the following:
We have a fleet of vehicles with the latest advanced diesel engines and smooth transmissions to provide the most fuel efficient vehicles on the road today.
We recycle as much waste material as possible including cardboard, plastic, woods & metals.
We recycle equipment that is no longer of use to the company. For example, giving away items such as computers & printers that we no longer use.
Our office has a specified recycling collection area. We also collect & recycle our printer cartridges & batteries
We strive to keep our energy usage low by using energy efficient low energy bulbs throughout our offices. We shut down all electronice equipment when not in use.
We reuse binders, file folders, envelops, boxes and print all documetation double sided where we can. In the event we have blank single sided paper, we use it for notes and calculations.
We purchase products with a lower environmental impact
We discourage paper usage where possible by distributing documents electronically and ask all our employees to consider the environment before printing.
All paper purchased is either recycled or FSC certified.
We purchase non-toxic biodegradeable cleaning products for our office.
Our heating system is programmed to turn down during off peak hours.
